So, we decided to go out and do a little light sledding, trail-making, and snowman building!

friend Heather made her. We made drop biscuits. She did a fantastic job!
We looked out the kitchen window that same day and were a little confused. The chickens had gathered by the house on the edge of the woods... but one of those chickens out there didn't have feathers. My little white Gizmo kitty decided to loose the pride and join the flock!

and we also drug out some Christmas decorations. The tree was up and on went the ornaments.
Grace LOVED decorating the tree. She also thought Daddy's new A Christmas Story lamp ornament was funny.
That night we caught New Moon at the drive-in. Garrett went with us, but Grace had her VERY first overnighter away from home... at Grandma's house!
I think they had a really good time and Grace got to stay up waaaayyyy past her bedtime. Ah, the advantages of Grandma's house!
Later on Saturday, we decided to light up the fire pit. It was as great night for it. Made me yearn to go camping!

Friday nights are family fun night at the Goff house. It's the one night of the week when we're not already booked up with church, work, etc. We usually make
home-made pizza (we've been refining our whole wheat crust for months now!), watch a movie, etc... but tonight, we decided to play the
game Cootie. I had never played it or even heard of it for that matter... but I was at Target
the other day and they had it marked down to $5. It looked like the perfect game for a preschooler... counting, taking turns, no reading required! Yea! Well, Grace LOVES playing Cootie and, quite frankly, so do I. We had a lot of fun creating our little cooties. And, of course, Grace won.
We also did a little pre-decorating this evening. We brought up the tree and set it up. I always forget how much I hate hooking up lights... ugh. But, the highlight was Grace decorating the tree... I've not even pulled out the ornaments yet, but Grace has already starting "decorating" it with her own "ornaments". Too sweet. I have a feeling our Christmas tree will be EXTRA special this year.
With a laugh like that, how could you not love this boy?!?! :-)
Thank goodness. He finally was shewed outta the house! But not before the little flying varmit landed on Grace!

Well what d'ya know! A baby squirrel in my house... and the cats tracked it into the kitchen.

Grace loves the neighbor's tractor.
Daddy thinks he wants one too... except he'd like a big orange one with a front loader. Keep dreamin' Daddy...
Courtney has also developed a love for GIANT sweet potatos. This one we dug out of our garden...
it's a freak. 8 lbs. 18.5” around and 13” long
And here's bathtime.
Garrett has really grown to love and enjoy bathtime.
He likes the warm water and how Mommy makes funny faces at him. And occasionally, if we're really lucky, we have a fountain in the tub too. HA! ;-)

A friend posted this link, and I wanted to share it with you all. I am very ashamed to admit that I've fallen into this trap. I know I've been feeling His tug to get my priorities in the right order. Will you also take the time to watch this, and let it speak to you about your life?

We all have different circumstances, and what's right for me may not be God's will for you and your family. I just hope that this reaches someone that needs it right now.

That's right. Grace got to sit IN a REAL fire truck. Hey, even I haven't ever sat IN a fire truck. Of course, we've seen them up close and
personal... you know, like ON our property when Courtney tried to torch the place a few years ago... but I'll let him tell you why he chose to leave the pit burning on a slightly windy day and how quickly tall field grass catches and the AMAZING view of a cedar tree standing with flames 20 feet tall shooting out the top of it. Yes, I'll let him tell you more about that.
So, it was good for the Goff family to go to the firestation for a field trip day for Parents as Teachers. I think we might be able to use the fire safety lessons we learned there as well.
Grace was not too fond of the loud sirens though...
