So how did it REALLY work, you ask?

This is an update to my previous posts regarding some of the make-your-own products. Awhile back I made laundry detergent (the liquid version) and fabric softener. Since I've had a few inquiries as to how it worked out, I thought I'd post it out here as an update.
I have to say, the liquid detergent has worked remarkably well thus far (I ended up adding some essential oil of orange). We've been using several weeks now without any issues. The fabric softener works fine, but I'll admit, I do miss the smell of Snuggle and Downy. But functionally, it has worked just fine.
My next project will be to make my own stain remover and dishwasher detergent. As soon as I get low on my store-bought brands of those, I'll whip up some batches and post the "recipes" and instructions... and a review later of course...
because who cares how much money you save making your own stuff if it doesn't work, right?!
Have fun coming up with your own "recipes" and let me know if you have any ideas!!

I'm in awe at anyone making their own laundry soap. It's a great example to present to the next generation - going back to the basics.
